Organic wines from Western Australia are the stars of the upcoming Vine & Dine Communal Table special dinner event being hosted by The Peninsula Bangkok on July 19 at The Lobby.



Chef Michael Poutawa is creating a five-course meal to pair with a carefully picked selection of premium wines from Frankland Estate, which was established in 1988 in Western Australia and is a certified organic farm.

After a cocktail reception at The Lobby Terrace, the dinner will l start with Summer Tomato Salad with English mature Cheddar, strawberries, pistachio, mint, and sourdough bread paired with Frankland Estate Rocky Gully, Sauvignon Blanc, Western Australia 2016.

Australian grass feed Angus tartare, 63 degrees quail egg, tarragon mustard ice-cream, and black garlic follows matched with Rocky Gully, Cabernet, while Cherrywood smoked Canadian lobster, crayfish gel, sauteed spinach and potato soup will be served with a 2014 Rocky Gully Shiraz.

The main course, Chargrilled tenderloin, broccoli puree, summer black truffles, Pecorino cheese, potato crisp will be paired with Frankland Estate Olmo's Reward, Cabernet Franc, while the dessert of Green apple, vanilla and Jasmine tea mousse with hazelnut biscuit, caramel sauce and sorbet is paired with Rocky Gully Riesling.

The wine dinner will be offered in a relaxing and communal-style yet discreetly elegant setting, enabling diners to share their experiences as well as network with like-minded diners. It’s priced at Bt2,600-plus and starts at 7pm.
