Hospital receives 100,000 cloth bags from public
Over 100,000 cloth bags were donated to a hospital in Phitsanulok, Thailand following the hospital’s plastic bag ban on Jan 1.
The amount was collected within a three-month period.
Most of the hospital’s patients were poor and unable to purchase their own cloth bags to bring home their medicines and medical supplies.
The donated bags were either bought from markets by the public, made by individuals or sponsored by large scale businesses.
