Chiang Mai Zoo highly anticipates panda’s birth
Thailand’s Chiang Mai Zoo is preparing to welcome a new member to its family.
Its female panda is at her last stage of her pregnancy.
Zoo officials are hoping that the birth of the panda would fall on June 16, which is the zoo’s 40th anniversary.
Zoo keepers have observed that the mother panda is showing nesting urges and has started licking her genital area along with other parts of her body.
The zoo is preparing their facilities ahead of the panda’s birth.
Tourists are currently barred from entering the female panda’s dwelling to reduce her stress levels.
